Hitachi GST Expands Distribution Network In Russia

Technotrade Becomes New Distributor of Full Portfolio of Hitachi Hard Drives

MOSCOW, Russia –18 September, 2009–Strengthening its position in Russia, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Technotrade. Starting this month, the distributor will offer wholesalers and resellers Hitachi’s portfolio of enterprise, desktop, mobile and consumer electronics hard drives, throughout Russian regions.

"Distributors are the main supply channel of Hitachi GST in the Russian market, therefore expansion of our partner network is a priority for business development and to strengthen the company’s position," said Ilya Klyuchnikov, Channel Manager Russia and Kazakhstan, Hitachi GST. "Cooperation with Technotrade will help Hitachi GST get closer to small- and mid-sized businesses and end-users even in small Russian cities. With the help of Technotrade, our portfolio will be better represented in all regions from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok."

Technotrade is one of the biggest Russian distributors of computer equipment. The company has been active in the Russian market since 1998 and currently sells computer components in all Russian regions. Technotrade started supplying Hitachi’s products in 2006 and now offers Hitachi’s range of high capacity hard drive products.

Technotrade joins Hitachi GST’s current list of distributors, including ASBIS, ELKO and Trinity Electronics.
