The following steps are required if you have a faulty drive and need to return it.

1 - Is My Drive Defective?

Before requesting a return material authorization (RMA), please review the following topics to see if the problem can be corrected.

 

2 - Is My Drive in Warranty?

With your hard drive's serial number, check to see if your drive is still covered under Hitachi's warranty using the tool below.

Choose the country/region where the replacement hard disk drive will be shipped to.

If your drive is valid for warranty, you can create an RMA online by clicking the button below.
